I totally agree. Mature, intellectual adults know, without having to be told, fluid situations can not only change actions required, but can change outcomes, as well. Perhaps the problem lies in the way people contantly fabricate hearing or reading the word "promise". If Q promised anything, provide the sauce. A promise is code for overriding your discernment and trusting the promise. Otherwise, intellectual discernment is required to prosper–nope–survive in this day and age.

Although I'm not convinced merit-wise of the content of this post, I truly do think that the way you did it is clever as hell. You dropped several paragraphs in other places one at a time–maybe bread to bread–and then, at a point afterward, tied them all together in a single post where it was easily referenced. That's very clever.

My PhoneFag brother said any posts at such a high level leaving the country have to be pre-approved by the receiving country. I believe him. He has PhoneFagged since rotary-dialed pulse phones were all the rage.

This one of my favorite baker gifts. I had a gf back in the 80s who looked just like her from the back. I'm proud to say I don't remember her face but clearly remember this view.

Here comes the name dropping. I knew McAfee and I knew Phil Katz of PKZip back in the day. Although Phil has passed now, God rest his soul, he was always at odds with McAfee. Apparently McAfee tried to interfere when he was fighting his compression battle against SEA.
