Europe’s Forgotten War In Ukraine Rumbles On

Over the last two months the international media has had many hysterical headlines regarding the situation in Syria’s Idlib province. American politicians and their European allies have denounced and threatened Syria’s government if it dares launch a military assault to clear the genocidal jihadi groups out of Idlib province. Nikki Haley, US ambassador to the UN has recently stated:

“If Assad, Russia and Iran continue down the path they are on, the consequences will be dire.”

Meanwhile, corporate politicians in the West and their echoes in the international media continue to ignore the bloody civil war raging in Ukraine. It would appear that the daily death and destruction rained down upon civilians in the breakaway republics of Donetsk and Lugansk is of no consequence. There is a conspiracy of silence over the war crimes being committed by the Kiev junta against its own citizens.

American imperialism and its European puppet allies continue to ratchet up tensions with Russia over the war in Ukraine. The Minsk peace accords have been conveniently forgotten about. Meanwhile, the EU has just agreed to lend another billion euros to the ultra nationalist regime in Kiev while Washington has agreed to send another $200 million in military assistance to Ukraine’s armed forces. To compound matters further, the US special representative to Kiev Kurt Volker, has stated in an interview on 13 September that the US is considering giving both naval and air defence weaponry to Ukraine’s armed forces.

This overt support for an openly corrupt Russophobic government is facilitating the continuation of Europe’s forgotten war. This war is over four years old and has led to 10,000 civilian casualties and displaced over 1.6 million people who are predominantly Russian speakers.

Daily reports produced by OSCE observers in the Donbass region clearly reveal a pattern of a systematic targeting of civilian settlements in Donetsk and Lugansk by the Ukrainian artillery. On 12 September OSCE observers noted 130 explosions in Donetsk region and 85 explosions in the Lugansk region. Meanwhile, mine fields continue to grow around the contact line that separates the two warring sides.

In the first 5 months of this year 81 civilians in the Donetsk and Lugansk regions were killed by artillery shelling, small arms fire and mine related incidents.

Western media outlets and the corporate politicians whom they serve say nothing about the absence of large amounts of heavy weaponry from the storage depots of the Ukrainian armed forces in direct contravention of the Minsk peace accords. On 7 September the daily OSCE report notes:

‘’In violation of withdrawal lines in a government-controlled area, the SMM saw 12 multiple launch rocket systems (BM-21 Grad, 122mm) near Poltavka (54km north-west of Donetsk).’’

The Standard of Evidence Is Whatever the Democrats Say It Is

One week ago, I said that I believed Christine Blasey Ford believes what she's saying. Her testimony wasn't proof of her claims – and she was unable to say where or when it happened, or name any witnesses to back her up, or provide any substantiation whatsoever – but I thought she sounded like she sincerely believed it happened. After the events of this past week, I'm not even sure of that much. Her story hasn't held up under scrutiny, and the inconsistencies are too glaring to ignore. That is, if you care about the truth. Which leaves out the Democratic Party.

Hey, remember when they all waved away the solid evidence of a prominent Democrat's shoddy treatment of women? It was a long, long time ago, but I've been thinking about it in the new light of recent developments.

I wasn't really paying attention to politics during the Clinton years, but you couldn't escape the Lewinsky fiasco. It was everywhere. It may not have been the first time a U.S. president ever cheated on his wife under their own roof, but it was the first time it was proven beyond a shadow of a doubt. And it was all America could talk about, for months on end. Dave Chappelle had a funny bit about missing the whole scandal when it was over: "The news was gettin' so good! I was tapin' it…" All you had to say was "blue dress," and everybody knew what you were talking about. It became a punchline.

And you know what else that blue dress was?

Evidence.

Clinton and his fans couldn't escape the evidence. They couldn't make the DNA go away. So what did they do? They just pretended it didn't matter. "What's the big deal? He only lied about a blowjob, you prudes. What, are you jealous?" Etc., etc. If you get caught red-handed, just say it's no big deal that your hand is all red. In fact, a red hand is pretty cool, right?

"I didn't do it. And so what if I did?" That's the Clinton way. His wife almost took that strategy all the way back to the White House.*

This Brett Kavanaugh smear is just the opposite. Here, the Democrats are desperate to believe increasingly outrageous claims of decades-old events, with no evidence whatsoever. You'll never prove to their satisfaction that it didn't happen. The FBI could investigate for a year. They could track down every "witness" who heard a rumor about somebody who might have seen Kavanaugh doing something bad 30 years ago, maybe. They could jump through every hoop held up by a circus clown like Michael Avenatti. And when they came up empty, it still wouldn't be good enough because these people need it to be true. It's an article of faith now.

LAST WEEK: "You know what would clear this up?"

THIS WEEK: "You know who's covering this up?"

So now, unless there's another literally unbelievable development in this 59th minute of the 11th hour, it looks like Kavanaugh will be confirmed. All the people who smeared him will convince themselves that his decisions are illegitimate. They didn't get what they wanted, and it's not fair, so they'll just deny reality. They're children.

In the process, they've only damaged the #MeToo cause. They've made it more difficult for victims of sexual assault to come forward. If 99% of the press is going to commit themselves so completely to a fake accusation, that will just plant a seed of doubt when a woman genuinely needs help.

If you cared about women, Dems, you wouldn't exploit them for political purposes. You wouldn't lie, and in the process complicate things for women who are telling the truth.

Do not forget what these people did to this man, just to keep what's left of their power. Watch their thwarted rage. And on November 6, do what you think is right. Your vote counts just as much as theirs.

And if they had their way, it wouldn't.

*Not that the guy who defeated her is much better than her husband, when it comes to the treatment of women. But you don't want to hear that, do you?

Trudeau Calls Conservatives ‘Ambulance Chasing Politicians’ For Wanting Child Killer Back In Prison

OTTAWA — Canadian Prime Minister whipped his Liberal caucus to vote against a Conservative motion Monday night to move a convicted child killer from a “healing lodge” and put her back behind penitentiary bars.

He called the Conservative Opposition “ambulance chasing politicians” for raising the issue. On Monday night, Trudeau was telling the Liberal faithful at a Toronto fundraiser that he wasn’t going to be part of the “nasty” election campaign he envisioned for 2019 and would eschew personal attacks against his political opponents.

Conservatives want to know why Canada’s corrections service has moved Terri-Lynne McClintic into the healing lodge when she is supposed to be serving a life sentence for killing eight-year-old Tori Stafford.

The Conservatives half-expected the Liberal government to support their motion. Deputy Conservative leader Lisa Raitt urged the Members of Parliament (MPs) across the floor to “do the right thing” and transfer McClintic back to prison.

Trudeau did not even bother to vote against the motion — though every one of his MPs did — and he walked out into the foyer of the House of Commons to scrum with journalists, where he repeated his line that the Conservative Opposition was “a party of ambulance-chasing politicians.” He then suggested their anger was based on the truth of his remarks. “Maybe they’re upset because it stings.”

Said Raitt, “At least the prime minister can show some kind of emotion even though it’s self-righteous indignation that we would actually question him on an issue that’s as important as making sure that convicted killers of children are in appropriate institutions.”

THE GATEWAY PUNDIT TARGETED FOR BANNING in New Study About Influence of Alleged ‘Fake News’ and Bots on Twitter

Now that Big Tech has seen it can get away with banishing Infowars, a study about the influence of Russian and non-Russian Twitter bot accounts on the 2016 election and beyond is now targeting The Gateway Pundit for banishment, supposedly as a means to diminish the influence of bots because The Gateway Pundit was one of the ‘top 10’ sites allegedly tweeted by the bots. The study published by the Knight Foundation on Thursday, titled, “Disinformation, ‘Fake News’ and Influence Campaigns on Twitter”, smears The Gateway Pundit as a “Fake News” site.

A 2017 study by Harvard echoed other studies that showed The Gateway Pundit was one of the most influential conservative media sites in 2016. Now in 2018 The Gateway Pundit is in the crosshairs of progressives and their Big Tech comrades.

Adweek reported on the study targeting The Gateway Pundit:

…The results of the study, conducted by George Washington University associate professor Matthew Hindman and Vlad Barash, the science director at the network analysis service Graphika, showed that Twitter hasn’t cracked down on many of its fake news amplifiers. Eighty percent of Twitter accounts that were spreading false information during the campaign were still active on the platform, researchers found.

…The study found that most of the fake and conspiracy tweets on Twitter linked to only about 1o websites, including The Gateway Pundit and Truthfeed. That trend was largely unchanged from 2016. Additionally, about 60 percent of the accounts that shared and amplified fake news were estimated by researchers to have been automated accounts. Those accounts were densely connected, following each other at high rates and retweeting each other frequently, intensifying the impact and reach of each post.

“It raises questions about whether [tackling misinformation] is really a game of whack-a-mole,” Hindman said. “That’s what we expected going into this, but that’s not really what we found. We found that a large portion of fake and conspiracy news online really was from the same accounts and with links to the same sites.”

Other findings saw that fake and conspiracy news that was right-leaning and conservative became more pronounced after the election, primarily because the amount of left-leaning fake news decreased substantially. Researchers also found evidence of coordinated efforts to share and amplify fake news stories on the platform, especially coming from accounts that researchers associated with Russian propaganda.

Tis quote from the Executive Summary of the study cites the example of the banishment of an alleged “fake news” site, The Real Strategy, as an effective means to control the spread of “fake news.” The study’s Conclusion (reported at the end of this article) makes clear the authors’ case for banning sites, including TGP.

The Real Strategy was referenced by more than 700,000 tweets in our election sample, the second-most linked fake or conspiracy news outlet overall. After being tied to a large-scale harassment campaign and the “Pizzagate” falsehood, though, The Real Strategy’s Twitter account was deleted, it was blacklisted on online forums such as Reddit, and a network of supportive bot accounts was partially disrupted. The postelection sample showed only 1,534 tweets to The Real Strategy, a drop of 99.8 percent. This example suggests that aggressive action against fake news outlets can be effective at containing the spread of fake news.

French Government Accuses Iranian Regime of Involvement in Foiled Terror Plot

The French government has blamed a senior member of the Iranian regime for sponsoring and being behind a foiled terror plot that would have seen the bombing of a rally in Paris’s Villepinte suburb.

French authorities have come to the conclusion that the Iranian Intelligence Ministry, specifically pointing to Iranian Deputy Minister of Intelligence Saeid Hashemi Moghadam, as being behind the alleged terror plot that was thwarted in June aimed against the Mujahedin-e-Khalq (MEK) movement, Le Monde reports.

“Behind all this was a long, meticulous and detailed investigation by our (intelligence) services that enabled us to reach the conclusion, without any doubt, that responsibility fell on the Iranian intelligence ministry,” a diplomatic source told the Reuters news agency this week.

In connection with the plot against the dissident Iranian group, Iranian diplomat Assadollah Assadi was arrested in Germany following the issuing a Europe-wide arrest warrant. Mr Assadi was extradited from Germany earlier this week to Belgium.

Iranian foreign ministry spokesman Bahram Qasemi denied the regime had any involvement in the bomb plot saying, “We deny once again the allegations against Iran and demand the immediate release of the Iranian diplomat,” and adding that the case was “designed by those who want to damage Iran’s long-established relations with France and Europe”.

France has also announced an asset freeze targetted at both Asadi and Moghadam as well as a unit of Iran’s Intelligence Service. The government gave little detail on the measures other than saying they were “targeted and proportionate”.

The case is not the first time foreign agents from Islamic countries have been caught attempting targetted killings. In 2016, a Turkish spy was arrested in Germany after allegedly engaging in plans to assassinate political opponents of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in both Germany and Belgium.

Earlier this year, more allegations against Turkey were raised by Swedish and Danish broadcasters which claim to have uncovered another government-sponsored plot to assassinate political opponents in Denmark.

CA Motor Voter Law Registers Twice Number of Democrats to Vote as Republicans

A California law that registers every citizen to vote when they apply for a driver’s license also has resulted in over twice the number signing up as Democrats versus Republicans.

The California Motor Voter Program (AB-1407) was passed in February and became effective in April this year. It has led to a huge spike in voter registration for the three months from June through August versus the comparable period in 2014.

Under the law, each person who applied for a California driver’s license or identification card is deemed to have a “completed affidavit of registration and the person is registered to vote, unless the person affirmatively declines to register to vote.” Juveniles age 16 years and older can also pre-register through the DMV to be eligible to vote at age 18.

According to a Capitol Weekly analysis of data from the Secretary of State’s office, there were 898,724 registrations during the period from June through August, with 328,157, or 37 percent, registering as Democrats and 155,980, or 17 percent registering as Republicans. The largest voter designation during the period was the 414,587, or 46 percent, that refused to join either major political party and registered “Do Not State.”

The registration increase compared to the last gubernatorial election year in 2014 was up about 205,000, or about 30 percent more. Democrats picked up 52,000 more registered voters than in 2014, while Republicans only gained 18,000 more than the prior period.

Republicans have claimed that the Motor Voter law is susceptible to fraudulent registrations from illegal aliens who became eligible under AB 60 to start applying for a California driver’s license in 2015. Founder of True the Vote Catherine Engelbrecht told Fox News in June: “You’re setting the state up for a disaster. They don’t seem to have a process in place to verify that people are who they say they are. It’s a free-for-all, a process that can be manipulated.”

But Assistant Deputy Director of the DMV Jessica Gonzalez responded to Fox inquiries that, “Automatic programming will not let them go to the (voter) registration section. It will be automatically grayed out and can’t be bypassed. It will require proof of U.S. citizenship and California residency.”
