Our entire definition of exactly what is "news", and how we learn it, is evolving.
Most of us have seen the beginning and growth of the internet during our lives, but I don't think anyone anticipated just how dramatically it would change how news reaches us.
This was like the printing press being invented all over again.
Think of things like the light bulb, the automobile, the steam engine.
That's how big this is.
My grandparents only had access to a one room schoolhouse that only went to the 8th grade. For high school, they had to go live at an A&M academy where they did farming and other work that made the school self sufficient, in exchange for their educations.
Now, even people in the most rural locations have access to the SAME information as those in New York City.
Education will catch up with technology; one of the reasons it's such a compromised mess is that it has lagged behind. My son had teachers who never learned to use a keyboard on a typewriter, and had no computer skills to speak of.
The world is changing - it's so great - and I think Trump will make that process even greater.
