Montana Republican Senator Steve Daines revealed on Thursday that he was not going to be able to be in Washington, D.C. for Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh's confirmation vote due to a scheduling conflict with his daughter's wedding.
However, after receiving intense backlash over potentially compromising Kavanaugh's confirmation to the nation's highest court, Daines made sure that his plans allowed for him to travel to the nation's capital if need be.
Daines told Kavanaugh that "he has made arrangements to be there to get him across the finish line as needed."
