Read the article and noticed that Dave Laufman is cited as McLean's attorney. I did a pretty substantial dig on some of the FBI files on the 'server' matter. There is a Dave Laufman who signed an FBI briefing acknowledgment in HRC part 17 on page 131.

IF this is the same Dave Laufman IF it's the same guy, he was eyeball deep in the email investigation. Bonus on the paperwork - it was witnessed by Jonathan Moffa, mystery man.
