there are some companies that were selling rounds labeled as "glass breakers" that were effectively marbles with a mm rubberized shell. you don't want the solid nylon, too light, or the riot balls or weighted rubber, anything over 6 - 7 grams or so still lethal enough, but you gotta tweak the FPS way up to really pack the punch. slinghshot ammo should be solid if you have it either coated or in a shell to not damage your barrel yet still make a seal.

I have seen a few variations, my favorite is just ordering empty hard paintball shells and hammering out some lead to fit inside without bouncing around, and those are weighted around 15 grams, if you up your velocity to fire a standard 3 gram in the mid 400fps range, you can expect those 15 grams to deliver at LEAST 20 joules and you can easily push 30,

you got that coming at your forehead it's game over. will easily penetrate the adominal wall and shatter bone as well.

also, 7gram weighted dense rubber riot balls are also extremely effective long range (relative long here), but the idiots who sell them fail to tell you if you had to fire one off inside it's gonna be coming STRAIGHT back at you in a HURRY. miss target, hit cement, gonna be lights out on yourself.

so I stay away from those myself.

time comes i have to use it, gonna be close quarters combat anyway.

honestly even light weight ammo with a higher fps like PAVA rounds would be enough on a face/neck impact to at the very least stun your opponent enough to close distance with a blade or machete, which i ALWAYS keep dozens upon dozens of in any nook and crannie.

worst case scenario all you need is enough time to bring your hand up under corner of chin, even with a small 3 inch shank and you win.

and honestly, people dumb enough to break into your house in the first place are always pussy enough to run like a little bitch when they are getting shot at with ANYTHING. especially when its way louder than any .22.

i forgo any large capcity and just keep multiple high tuned pistols with multiple mags stashed in various places, all you gotta do is put a beefier spring in the clip and it's go time.

and, all 100% legal, just brought a bunch of literally everything i described through customs, on a plane, even talked to the agent ahead about it.

only thing though, ALWAYS always always declare you have it, whatever it may be. save a lot of headache and stress on both sides if the lowly paid customs agent looking for drugs comes across a cache of what they would have no reason to think is not a legitimate firearm.

keep lasers and lights on em all, you would have no idea what youre looking at if you didn't already know.
