Those who seek tyranny and control have been wide-ranging in their efforts to take off the field /ourguys/ and have largely succeeded. Many of /ourguys/ are not in the fight, even though they want to be.
How to fix, I do not know. It definitely will need intervention by the WH.
One small example (I can give more)
Marine 0202 intel officer. 17 years intelligence experience. Multiple deployments. Multiple access to highly sensitive classified programs and information. Patriot. Huge Pro-Trump supporter, before it was popular to do so. Staunch defender of Constitution. Originalist. "Beyond bright" according to his peers. Combat disability; "V" for Valor under fire while saving his Marines. Commanding General in convoy watched his vehicle get destroyed as Marine intel officer conducted battlefield leadership. A good, solid, pro-Freedom, pro-American Marine who has been iden by his peers as "super bright".
Marine leaves AD, applies for work, 400 job apps, almost 100 interviews as "top 3", but no offers of employment in IC field. No explanation given. One employer who offers job then requests JPAS status. Code pings back "INELIGIBLE FOR CLEARANCE" ??
WTF, over?
-Honorable service
-No financial issues, excellent credit
-No drugs/ETOH etc
-NO issues that would have a clearance pulled
-Ts/Sc1 since graduation at Corry Stn
-Multiple awards, commendations
But….
refused Obama pick General demand to do something unethical/illegal just after Obama was elected. (around 2008). Was challenged and stuck with what is right, not being a politcal stooge. Effort was to either comp this officer or destroy him if he couldn't be comped.
Rinse, lather, repeat. There are many more.
"Military intelligence". Think about what that means for those who remain or do not have their JPAS coded, "ineligible for clearance".
An attorney & former federal clearance investigator/adjudicator both stated they had NEVER seen this coding before in JPAS. Until the blacklisted officers finally requested their JPAS records.
