Not sure if important, but with “muh Russia” heating up and NATO regional influence, I find it interesting that the chairman of the Military Committee in NATO was only recently appointed (29 June 2018) and is from the UK: Stuart Peach, formerly Chief of Defense Staff of the British Armed Forces.
