It's a .22LR, so not much to write home about. It is small, and easy to shoot, however. It's about as accurate as you would expect from such a short barrel. If you want to learn how to shoot, that's about the cheapest way to do it. .45ACP ammo, for example, is nearly 50 cents a round, but you can get buckets of .22LR for closer to 5 cents a round. The larger guns in the line (such as the SR-45) are extremely accurate, btw.
