Alyssa Milano Says If ‘Men Have A Hard Time Right Now’ That’s The Way It Has To Be For ‘Equality’

Alyssa Milano said if “men have a hard time right now” that is the way it has to be “for us to have the equality and security in our country.”

“I’m filled with a lot of rage today. It started last night. I couldn’t sleep at all last night. And I just can’t believe this is where we are,” the 45-year-old actress shared during her appearance Wednesday on MSNBC when asked by the host her thoughts that a “huge portion of the population” agreed with President Donald Trump that the current environment is “a scary time for young men.”

“We are making distinct choices about what we want to be as a country,” she added. “We’re making distinct choices about the people we’re putting in positions of power, whether it be Trump or [Brett] Kavanaugh or our institutions.”

Milano continued, “We are making a choice. And the Republican party is making a choice to back this man [Kavanaugh] and this administration in this time, right now, right here and history will reflect upon this time as being devastating.

“But I will tell you this; 34 days to the midterm election, there were 800,000 new voters on voter registration day,” the “Charmed” star shared. “I think women, I think survivors, I think men are not going to allow this to continue. We’re going to take back the House and maybe even the Senate.”

“Also, men are having a hard time right now,” she added. “I mean, come on I feel as though he’s [Trump] completely and totally belittling the intelligence of the American people.”

When pressed by the host about how a “huge portion of the population” agreed with the president, Milano suggested that Trump was using “some sort of cult-like force” to get them to think the same.

“I’m not sure if you were to have a real conversation with any American whether they be Democrat or Republican, that they would side with this kind of behavior where we’ve reached a low we’re actually mocking people and their stories of hurt and of pain,” the actress explained. “Who are we? Who do we want to be as a country? What are we trying to project to the young people of this world, to the young people of this country? It’s heartbreaking to me. I think yes, we’re in a time right now that’s very gray.”

“This is the #MeToo generation. What is happening right now is we are defining boundaries,” she added. “Boundaries that have never been defined before. As Trump might say that ‘white men have it very difficult right now’,’ I’m saying that women, young people, have had it difficult for generations and generations and generations.”

Milano continued, “And we will not be silenced any longer. If that means that men have a hard time right now, then I’m sorry, this is the way the pendulum has to shift for us to have the equality and security in our country and within our societal views of what it means to be a woman. We are considered less than. And we cannot stand for it anymore.”

Ruth Bader Ginsburg: I'm 'Really Turned On' By #MeToo Movement

Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg said during a recent talk at Georgetown University that she is "really turned on" by the #MeToo movement.

Ginsburg, 85, made the comments just a day before Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee last week about unsubstantiated allegations of sexual misconduct made against him, USA Today reported.

"These #MeToo complaints, every woman of my vintage has not just one story but many stories, but we thought there's nothing you can do about it," Ginsburg said. "Boys will be boys. So just find a way to get out of it."

"Women nowadays are not silent about bad behavior," Ginsburg added.

With Kavanaugh's nomination to the Supreme Court all but decided, many have started looking at Ginsburg as the next justice likely to be replaced on the nation's highest court.

MS-13 Gang Member Apprehensions this Year up 244 Percent, Says Border Patrol Sector Chief

During a recent interview with Breitbart Texas Editor-in-Chief Brandon Darby, Rio Grande Valley (RGV) Sector Chief Manuel Padilla, Jr. reported an increase in the arrest of MS-13 gang members well in excess of 200 percent. The chief explained this is a national security risk because these criminal gang members do not stay in South Texas, but rather, travel all across the U.S.

“What we have here in the valley,” Chief Padilla explained to Darby, “we have a unique dynamic where the traffic that is coming here, it’s actually not staying here. I can tell you we are well over a 200 percent increase [in the apprehension of] MS-13 gang members.”

“The good news for the valley is that they do not remain here,” he continued. “The bad news for the United States is that they go to Houston and Maryland, and other parts of the country to commit their atrocious criminal acts.”

Padilla told Darby that the MS-13 traffic is not very visible except to the Border Patrol agents who work the line and to our partners that encounter it on a regular basis.

Outbreak of Flea-Borne Typhus in Downtown Los Angeles

Health officials warn that an outbreak of flea-borne typhus is now taking place in downtown Los Angeles.

CBSLA reports that the Los Angles County Department of Public Health is investigating “several cases” of the typhus strain and warns that it is a “disease that infected fleas can spread to humans.” Fleas carrying the disease are found on rats, areas where there is an accumulation of trash, and cats, but pets do not get sick from typhus.

Fleas with typhus are a danger in “areas where there is an accumulation of trash,” as such an accumulation attracts wild cats, opossums, and other animals.

At this time, the county health department recommends pet owners “Use flea control products on pets.” They also recommend that people “wear pants tucked into socks or boots when outside” and “spray insect repellent with DEET on socks and pant cuffs.”

The health department also recommends that people:

Avoid being near wild or stray animals.

Never feed or touch wild animals, especially opossums, rats and stray or feral cats.

Store trash in cans with secure lids to avoid attracting animals.

Clear areas where rats and stray animals sleep, hide or find food, such as crawl spaces, attics or under decks, and wear gloves and a mask when clearing these areas.

Ebola: Genetically Modified Organism developed in US Biowarfare Laboratories in Africa.

This is official confirmation of Dr. Boyle and Dr. Broderick’s reports that the US government has conducted ebola experiments. Perhaps the vaccine was not effective, and those on whom the experiment was conducted came down with ebola and perhaps also employees in the US bio-warfare laboratories located in Africa where the experiment was conducted.

It appears that the test consists of giving an ebola vaccine and then exposing the unaware person to ebola, apparently an engineered version for bio-warfare. A former Google boss has launched a withering attack on the firm, calling technology giants deluded.

Jessica Powell said she had become tired of defending the company in her role as its top PR chief.

‘This is an industry that takes itself far too seriously, and its own responsibility not seriously enough,’ she added.

‘I want Silicon Valley to end the self-delusion and either fess up to the reality we are creating, or live up to the vision we market to the world each day. Because if you’re going to tell people you’re their saviour, you better be ready to be held to a higher standard.’

Miss Powell, 40, launched her searing criticism in an essay and satirical novel, both published this week, which together paint a damning portrait of the Silicon Valley culture.

She said: ‘We go about saying that we’re building these amazing things and doing great things for the world but we’re also causing a lot of serious problems.

‘There is a real problem that we have of black and white thinking – that we lead with data all the time. You say, “Oh well, of two billion users maybe a small percentage of that is bad actors”.

‘It’s very easy to forget that that’s electoral interference, that’s live-streamed suicides, that’s Myanmar. It’s really horrific stuff.’

Her powerful assault is the first of its kind to come from someone so senior at Google, and one of very few to come from Silicon Valley where executives keep to a code of secrecy.

If you see a brand on Amazon and you’ve never heard of it, there’s a chance that it’s just Amazon. The company operates a growing number of labels with names like “Arabella”, “Lark & Ro” amd “NuPro” to market its own products—and they’ll soon be augmented by a more brands “exclusive to Amazon, but not owned by it”, absorbed into its Private Brand program. Amazon’s push into private labels could threaten the third-party sellers who do business on its website, and are important to the company’s own bottom line. Amazon generated $9.7 billion in revenue from commissions and services it provided to third-party sellers (e.g., fulfillment and shipping fees) in the latest quarter, ended July 26. Earlier this week, eBay sent Amazon a cease-and-desist accusing it of a shady, multiyear campaign to lure eBay sellers over to the Amazon marketplace.

It’s posed here as a solution to problems caused by Amazon’s current third-party seller platform, which it won’t adequately police but also understands is rotting customers’ trust in the site. Savvy shoppers already know not to buy certain types of product from Amazon because of couterfeits. As CNBC reports, though, Amazon is unable to avoid the temptation of promoting its own products in competitors’ first-party listings too.

Another problem: what Amazon is doing here closely resembles the marketing habits of Chinese exporters who have flooded Amazon with legitimate but low-quality gear. If you search for headphones there, for example, you get some name brands, but most of the first page of results is for brands like “Mpow”, “Alihen”, “Redess”, “Arrela.” Which of these are real? How will Amazon distinguish its own brands from disposable fly-by-night ones? Or is this, more or less, the game Amazon is getting into?
