Before taking part in Super Bowl VI, Duane Thomas was asked about playing in the ultimate game. His response was: "If it's the ultimate game, how come they're playing it again next year?".
So much of my life has been conditioned around seeing sporting events and sport figures as doing something truly great and truly inspirational. I was educated to believe they were participating in events and performing acts that would forever echo through time. It's all a bunch of horse shit.
This Q movement is REAL inspiration. It has brought my attention to a reality I always watched from afar, but never participated in, the governance of the USA.
What is your life if you are not actively working to make your community and environment a better place? In the USA, the people are fortunate enough to have thief voice and power represented legally in the founding documents in defence of the right to better one's world.
The only problem is, the people for too long have sought other entertainments, instead of staying vigilant, and supervising the machinations of government.
Sports was my refuge before, but now that I am awake, I watch D.C. instead. The victories taste sweeter, and have much longer lasting impact than a game that will be played again next year.
