If you have some age to you (over 50) you may need more than a basic checkup. Complications come with old age; it's not a conspiracy, it's just the way it is. At 64 years old, I felt I was fine, just having a minor problem. Ended up being in the hospital for 2 1/2 weeks; need 6 bags of blood and constant surveillance. Our bodies wear out and need some maintenance; nobody avoids it.
