I see a strategic goal in allowing Kavanaugh to e attacked. Kavanaugh was attacked in a similar way to the way POTUS has been attacked since the '16 election. The Kavanaugh debacle enables POTUS to point out how he has endured much more than Kavanaugh has endured at the hands of the Dems.

Ok, I see where you're coming from. My first reaction was to the way you stated it - you appeared to be stating it as a fact. It doesn't sound like there's enough to prove it, but it is certainly a plausible theory.
The way I understand the current law, it is possible, but IMO, not probable. But…I don't know. The line would move depending on how the population would react to such an overt assertion of the use of NSA+MIL assets and propaganda in order to achieve the goal of draining the swamp.
