I'm rewatching the Topeka rally RN.

The NBC version, which I normally don't watch. But I was surprised to see that they played the rally music as POTUS was walking out and leaving.

They have to pay the rights to play those songs. Little Youtube channels can't get away with playing those because they don't pay.

The Rolling Stones song "Can't Always Get What You Want" must be one of the more expensive songs in existence to pay to broadcast.

I'm thinking one of the only reasons Trump chose that song is purely to GOUGE the networks everytime he has a rally.

Sauce in theory, the networks have to pay through the nose in royalties every time Trump plays The Stones at a rally (among others):

Rolling Stone – Satisfaction

Conan O’Brien wanted the last laugh when NBC replaced him on the “Tonight Show” with Jay Leno after only seven months on the job in February of 2010. He decided to use the Rolling Stones 1965 hit “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction” when Adam Sandler was introduced as a guest. The move reportedly cost NBC $500,000 even though the song was played for only a few seconds.

O’Brien also used the Beatles’ “Lovely Rita” earlier in the week to introduce Tom Hanks, costing NBC another $500,000. Talk about sticking it to the man.

Does no one find this as hysterical as I do?

Trump forces all the TV networks to pay millions in royalties every time he plays music.

He chose The Rolling Stones almost exclusively for the reason that they are one of the most expensive bands to license to play on TV.

And he makes sure they play while he is still on stage.
