I know it's kinda early, but you KNOW the crazies will be out.
If it's like where I live, people pay to "sponsor" the ducks (they are #d). They float down the river for some distance, and the "winner" crosses the finish line first (obviously). The winning sponsor gets some prize, usually donated, and the proceeds go to a cause (autism in this case)
