They were trying to cover for Podesta email hack.
Going so far as to create the Guccifer 2.0 persona and seed it with a document from the Podesta emails to 'prove' their Russian hacker story.
The DNC emails leak didn't take place until May.
Perhaps BECAUSE of their efforts to create this fake narrative, Seth might have been motivated to leak more…
