The townspeople of Salem were not superstitious hicks. They knew what was up and weren't afraid to take on the problem of witchcraft in their midst.
If only Americans today could be as spiritually woke as the good people of Salem back then.
It's a sign of the times that Salem, today, openly has witches' covens and they even brag about it.
