Not great but learning...can beat box so I will use a looper and sing vocals....or midi keyboard and garage band,
it really has become so much easier for the layperson to make music, and big studios and hollywierd have the sheeple believing in needing "muh inherent talent" and big names and what nots, but I agree with your original post, there will be a FLOOD of creativity in our NEW America!! It's a'bubblin. :)
and yes, agree! beats are VERY important, so I am always looking for good ones.... but a producer friend once told me, no doubt tired of friends always trying to get their words on his music "rappers need to learn how to make there own beats"
