Hostage could have been the people of North Korea? North Korean Leader/Sister? People being blackmailed? so Possibly NK was Hostage to the CIA, pawns in the game of war and getting China to play along also holding them and other Asian countries hostage with the threat of Nuclear Holocaust? USA as well?
I take it to mean Paranormal as in the cabal practices magic, via bloodletting, rape and sacrifice to their god lucifer, to gain what they believe is power. and also by killing innocents. they are into their symbols and signs and follow them to a T to make sure that they get the most power. Only one "entity" is more powerful than their magic and that is God, one True God, and why he says to pray. Prayer pushes away all that "magic" and why they want to destroy God and Prayer.
that is what i take it all to mean and yes God is SuperNatural so to speak.
