Yes, I do think the PUBLIC would understand this. The mockingbird media would push hard against it… which is why POTUS should use emergency broadcast powers to prevent them from doing it. We at least certainly understand this.

No, this is not definite. We have suspicions but there is conflicting evidence on Ed. For example, he never intended to end up Russia, clowns revoked passport midair! Russia was just supposed to be an overlay… that said, it's possible he was clown and that was used as midirection. Another alternative was that he was genuine but he foolishly released to all mockingbird controlled outlets (guardian, spiegel,wapo,intercept etc) and since he destroyed all documents in his own possession (for life protection) he not longer controlled dissimenation.
The NSA has not always been the good guys. It's possible some control was pushed, but this completely ignores Thomas Drake, Bill Binney, a few others, along with the frequent perjury commited by NSA heads…
