Agreed. I believe its an attempt to get people to migrate to big cities (where they can be trapped) so as to not destroy the environment.

 

Its also a scare tactic to keep people feeling guilty for being alive.

I used to work for the USDA. I was put on some projects involved with GMO and trans genetics.

 

FUCKING STUPID TO EVEN RELEASE IT INTO THE WILD!

 

Early on we had an incident with Starlink Corn wound up in Taco Bells taco shells. where a bunch of people where seriously allergic to it. I think there were even some deaths.

 

I put on a research consortium once a few years after that. I recieved a grant to get a bunch of scientists together to answer questions about it to an audience of farmers.

 

I asked the panel "do you believe that releasing this into the environment as well as the market place is perfectly safe".

 

Not one of them said yes. In fact two of them said they only participated in the research for the research money.

 

That money came from Monsanto and ADM. Not long after that they started patenting the GMO and Trans crops. So if a farmer planted that crop they had to pay tech fees. And if they saved some to plant the next year they still had to pay tech fees on it.

 

Trans is horrifying stuff. They transfer genes from on living organism (like a salmon) into a crop to enhance certain properties on it.

 

I think it dangerous technology.
