Yep. In the 70s and early 80s it was all "global cooling" in anticipation of an Ice Age that was supposed to hit around the year 2000. Then in the 1990s it was the "save the rainforest" campaign. Al Gore spearheaded the "global warming" campaign in the early 2000s, and then that changed to today's slogan of fighting against "climate change."
Of course, throw in one massive volcano eruption (which tends to happen around every five years or so somewhere around the planet), and that'll skew the "global warming" numbers and give them "evidence" that we're fucked. But in reality it's just something known as "nature."
