The Universe is basically an experience of God re-discovering himself through us. All matter is thought, and all consciounsness is one single God-consciounsness split into individualities that is us. That is why the quantum and classical physics are split - only consciounsness can break that barrier.
Current situation on Earth pertains to removal of the anomaly we call evil, whose only purpose is to be resolved. Evil breeds evil and destruction, while good breeds good and creation - the qualities of God.
