Hurricane Michael sends Florida Alabama residents scrambling

Hurricane Center Director Ken Graham said there were just a few hours left until Michael's wind gusts and rain bands would start whipping the coast.

"Guess what? That's today," Graham said. "If they tell you to leave, you have to leave."

We did not need this yet it could have been a far tougher season if not for the presence of Hurricane Leslie out in the middle of the Atlantic. Hurricane Leslie has been out there "regulating" for over 2 weeks now and the latest projections which only 24 hours ago predicted Leslie' demise now project it will last at least the next 4-5 days.

Can you say "weather anomaly?

I have been an avid storm watcher for nearly two decades and I have never witnessed anything like it and literally no news agency is discussing Leslie more than a casual mention.

Here it comes folks, should be Cat 3 at landfall… Heed the warnings of your local weather and other officials and get out now! Do not contribute to traffic jams and other crap that could result in loss of life. Get out now.

Thank you!
