House Republicans in June plan to interview three FBI officials linked to the agency’s controversial handling of the Hillary Clinton email probe, part of an ongoing joint investigation by the House Judiciary and Oversight and Government Reform committees.

The panels will interview Bill Priestap, assistant director of the FBI’s counterintelligence division; Michael Steinbach, formerly head of the agency’s national security division; and Steinbach’s predecessor, John Giacalone, the Hill reported.

Priestap played a prominent role in the FBI during the Clinton and Russia probes, including the agency’s decision, led by former Director James Comey, to call Clinton’s email debacle, “extremely careless.”

He also oversaw counterintelligence agent Peter Strzok, who’s anti-Trump text messages provided fodder for Republicans and conservatives alike, as evidence of possible political bias in the bureau.

John Giacalone

House Republicans are preparing to conduct the first interviews in more than four months in their investigation into the FBI’s handling of the Hillary Clinton email probe.

A joint investigation run by the Judiciary and the Oversight and Government Reform committees has set three witness interviews for June, including testimony from Bill Priestap, the assistant director of the FBI’s counterintelligence division, and Michael Steinbach, the former head of the FBI’s national security division.

Multiple congressional sources confirmed Priestap’s interview. Steinbach confirmed to The Hill that he would be appearing.

The third witness is John Giacalone, who preceded Steinbach as the bureau's top national security official and oversaw the first seven months of the Clinton probe, according to multiple congressional sources.

Randall Coleman

He was the guy in the IG report that mentioned crimes against children. Right before actors started saying the matter was getting complicated.

Copy pasta from article, pic related.

he former assistant director of the FBI’s Counterintelligence Division, Randy Coleman, wrote a note saying “Crimes Against Children” in connection to the digital devices of disgraced former Congressman Anthony Weiner.

Coleman’s notes, which were obtained by the Department of Justice Inspector General, were taken on Oct. 4, 2016.

Just over a week earlier, on Sept. 26, the FBI obtained a search warrant for Weiner’s iPhone, iPad and laptop computer related to crimes of “transmitting obscene material to a minor, sexual exploitation of children, and activities related to child pornography.”

Weiner was charged with and pleaded guilty to transferring obscene material to a 15-year-old girl. He was not charged with possession of child pornography or other related charges, however.

Kevin Clinesmith, a Washington D.C.-area attorney, was publicly accused by a Congressman of possibly being the FBI lawyer described in the Inspector General’s report as allegedly writing anti-Trump messages, including one that declared “viva le resistance.”

House Judiciary Committee member Rep. Mark Meadows, a Republican from North Carolina, released the identities of Clinesmith and Sally Moyer during a hearing on the Inspector General’s report into the FBI’s investigation of Hillary Clinton’s emails. According to The New York Post, Meadows did so over the objections of the FBI, and the Inspector General and FBI have not confirmed the identities. The lawyer mentioned in the IG report worked on both the Clinton and Russian investigations but left the latter after the IG shared his instant messages with the special counsel. However, The New York Post later revealed that Moyer was not the lawyer that Meadows had implied.

Tashina Gauer

Attorney #1

At the heart of the activity during this critical period is FBI lawyer #1 Tashina “Tash” Gauhar who was on a video conference call with the FBI New York Field Office (NYFO) as the discoveries of hundreds of thousands of Clinton emails were relayed internally to the Mid-Year-Event (MYE) team in DC on September 29th, 2016.

Almost a full month went by until October 27th, 2016, when the MYE team all gathered with James Comey to talk about the laptop issues and the emails. Within the IG review of this period, there is a bunch of ass-covering documentation that takes place in hindsight to the events. The IG is careful to point out each time his investigation is presented with documentary evidence that was clearly written long-after the events being questioned.

The central IG question is: why didn’t the FBI take immediate action to review 725,000 Clinton-centric emails on the Huma/Weiner laptop? Why did they wait a month before seeking a search warrant? Why were they doing nothing?

Sally Moyer - Attorney #5

A House Republican says he didn’t mean to imply that both FBI investigators he unmasked by name in a congressional hearing were among five unidentified agents cited for pro-Clinton, anti-Trump bias by the Justice Department inspector general in his recently released report on the Clinton email investigation.
