There's no reason the provider should charge a cash patient 5x more than what they're willing to bill to insurance.
I got a $28k bill for anesthesia for an operation and about shit. Later, I saw that the insurance company paid them $1200. That's the kind of rigged system that forces people to buy insurance at any price.
