Not functional on even the basic levels. To do that under the circumstances you all expect also says that every case tried by these defunct Judges and prosecutors is subject to over turning. Years of Federal criminal trial would be called into question. Violent criminals storm the gates of the prisons by the hundreds of thousands!
I believe you are confused as to where the domestic enemies would be tried. I don't think you understand the fact that they are enemy combatants. A traitor is a person who has waged war against the United States or assisted an enemy in doing so. The military tribunals will take care of them just as if they had been pulled from a Nazi concentration camp and been found guilty of war crimes at Nuremburg, They will not and should not be tried in the regular court system, because what takes place at a military tribunal does not have to be made public. Therefore any corrupt judge, etc. would be executed, the President can pardon anyone who that judge sentenced per his discretion. All the while, the tribunal case is sealed on ground of national security, and maybe nobody even knows that the judge has been executed. That is really the point of having the tribunals.
