When the global financial crisis resurfaces, we the people will have to fill the vacuum in political leadership. It will call for a monumental mobilisation of citizens from below, focused on a single and unifying demand for a people’s bailout across the world.

A full decade since the great crash of 2008, many progressive thinkers have recently reflected on the consequences of that fateful day when the investment bank Lehman Brothers collapsed, foreshadowing the worst international financial crisis of the post-war period. What seems obvious to everyone is that lessons have not been learnt, the financial sector is now larger and more dominant than ever, and an even greater crisis is set to happen anytime soon. But the real question is when it strikes, what are the chances of achieving a bailout for ordinary people and the planet this time?

In the aftermath of the last global financial meltdown, there was a constant stream of analysis about its proximate causes. This centred on the bursting of the US housing bubble, fuelled in large part by reckless sub-prime lending and an under-regulated shadow banking system. Media commentaries fixated on the implosion of collateralised debt obligations, credit default swaps and other financial innovations—all evidence of the speculative greed and lax government oversight which led to the housing and credit booms.

The term ‘financialisation’ has become a buzzword to explain the factors which precipitated these events, referring to the vastly expanded role of financial markets in the operation of domestic and global economies. It is not only about the growth of big banks and hedge funds, but the radical transformation of our entire society that has taken place as a result of the increasing dominance of the financial sector with its short-termist, profitmaking logic.

The origins of the crisis are rooted in the early 1970s, when the US government decided to end the fixed convertibility of dollars into gold, formally ending the Bretton Woods monetary system. It marked the beginning of a new regime of floating exchange rates, free trade in goods and the free movement of capital across borders. The sweeping reforms brought in under the Thatcher and Reagan governments accelerated a wave of deregulation and privatisation, with minimum protective barriers against the ‘self-regulating market’.

The agenda was pushed aggressively by most national governments in the Global North, while being imposed on many Southern countries through the International Monetary Fund and World Bank’s infamous ‘structural adjustment programmes’. A legion of books have examined the disastrous consequences of this market-led approach to monetary and fiscal policy, derisorily labelled the neoliberal Washington Consensus. As governments increasingly focused on maintaining low inflation and removing regulations on capital and corporations, the world of finance boomed—and the foundations were laid for a dramatic dénouement in 2008.

More FBI Corruption Exposed: "Compromised" Asian Staff Recalled After Prostitution Probe

Six months after dozens of FBI agents were sanctioned for sexual misconduct during James Comey's reign as Director, The Wall Street Journal, the agency whose motto is Fidelity, Bravery, Integrity once again showed none-of-the-above as several FBI employees, stationed in cities across Asia, have been recalled to Washington in recent months while the agency investigates allegations related to parties and interactions with prostitutes.

According to people familiar with the matter, WSJ reports the Justice Department’s inspector general is examining the allegations, which involve Federal Bureau of Investigation personnel in some half a dozen cities, including in East and Southeast Asia.

In a statement, The FBI made a non-committal comment on what actions would be taken:

“Upon learning of these allegations of misconduct, action was taken to reassign certain personnel to non-operational roles while the allegations are reviewed.”

Just lucky none of the agents were accused of groping during their high-school years.

As The Journal points out so correctly, the allegations are a potential black eye for an agency that has become a magnet for criticism as it has tried to navigate some of the biggest political battles of the year.

Issues involving prostitution, which is legal or tolerated in some countries, have been a particular concern for FBI officials, who worry about foreign intelligence services trying to compromise agents or other U.S. embassy personnel, people familiar with the matter said.

Agents going overseas receive extensive briefings on potential avenues foreign officers may seek to compromise them, former agents said.

The exact nature of the allegations against the FBI employees, and the locations of the alleged activities, couldn’t be determined.

Other law enforcement agencies, including the Secret Service and the Drug Enforcement Administration, have dealt with similar scandals in recent years.

In 2015, the Justice Department’s inspector general found that DEA agents stationed in Colombia attended parties with prostitutes.

In 2012 the Secret Service disciplined about a dozen agents amid allegations that they brought prostitutes to their hotel rooms in Colombia while preparing for a visit by then-President Barack Obama.

One Twitter wit suggested the FBI be renamed "Foreign friends with Benefits Initiative," and quite surprisingly there is not a mention of any Russian collusion or involvement in the procurement of said ladies of the night… though we suspect it will not be too long.

On Wednesday, Michael Avenatti shared a link to encourage his followers to “chip in for Beto now,” which directed to a donation website. But there is one interesting aspect of Avenatti's generosity: half of the funds go to his own “Fight PAC.”

The tweet also said of Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX): “Help us send the liar back home to Canada (sorry Canada) … ”

A note before the suggested dollar amount points out that contributions “will be divided evenly between Beto O’Rourke and The Fight PAC.”

“Cruz Attacked Michael. We’re fighting back! #BASTA,” the donation page is titled.

“Ted Cruz is in the fight for his political life and the best he can do it lash out at Michael?” the website says. “We won’t take this sitting down. Chip in a few bucks to help Beto defeat Cruz and let Texas have a Senator they can be proud of.”

According to Buzzfeed, Avenatti launched Fight PAC in August to support Democratic candidates with “the size and the presence to really fight back and advocate from a position of strength as opposed to weakness.” He also said the PAC will serve as a vessel for his own politically-related travel.

The PAC’s website only has a black and white photo of Rudy Giuliani with the words “THE FIGHT 2020 ALL THE PRESIDENT'S CON MEN.”

I believe we dodged a big bullet yesterday and got a HUGE proof.

1. 9 Jan 1988 Rothschild Economist magazine cover 10/10/2018 new world currency. 33 days prior to our 11/11 marker.

2. IMO The failure of this and market carnage lead by big tech sell off yesterday shows the cabal have lost control.

3. Despite trying to hang that market drop around Trump's neck the FED is being blamed for this as Powell raised rates. Powell may be /ourguy who acted on instruction from the Cabal but in the interests of the white hats cause who benefits??? Systems on the surface was doing very well record high after record high, FED interferes market drops.

4. The FED must be broken in order to cut cabal financial control, this is why China Russia, Iran and others have decoupled from the USD as a reserve currency, I believe this is part of the PLAN as if they remained using USD the cabal could rely on oil and other foreign revenues to prop up foreign markets while they bankrupt the US before killing it off in other countries.

5. 2 days ago I directed a question too Q team which highlighted the 33 vectors including JFK killed 11/22 11+22=33, End of WW1 11am 11/11 11+11+11=33 along with the 33 vector mentioned above 10/10 to 11/11 =33 days asking if we were being played by the cabal. I received a subtle reply to this question a bread later, stating that the founders/signatories of the constitution were all Freemasons and that like every other thing in this world they had been infiltrated and their hidden knowledge was being used by the cabal members who were using subversion by using their secret teaching of ancient knowledge. This is something I had investigated myself some years ago which added some validity to the reply I got.

6. Further to this over the course of the last few weeks I had posted several news items from solid publications both US and Russian based where 33 was in the articles but used in a positive way. I have have also posted material months ago of events like the Ebola outbreak in Africa which at the time claimed 33 deaths.

7. This has lead me to conclude that both sides may be using this and it is of significant importance.

8. Back to the present 11/11 2018 at 11am will be 100 years to the minute of the Armistice of Compiègne it came into force at 11 a.m. Paris time on 11 November 1918 ("the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month") and marked a victory for the Allies and a complete defeat for Germany.

9. Trump just so happens will be in Paris at that exact location and time, coincidence right???

10. History is repeating itself. In the early days of the Q drops it was/is believed that the arrests will happen while Trump is out of the country. We may have to wait another 4 weeks for what we all desire but I believe this planning and execution was always in place.

Sen. Cotton Suggests Kavanaugh Hit Job Was Schumer "Political Operation" With Bharara Connection

Senator Tom Cotton (R-AK) claims that a sexual assault allegation levied against Justice Brett Kavanaugh at the 11th hour of his confirmation hearings was orchestrated by Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and his "political operation" as far back as July.

Cotton told nationally-syndicated radio host Hugh Hewitt that Schumer was behind the leak of Christine Blasey Ford's allegation "from the very beginning." Cotton noted that Ford's good friend, former FBI agent Monica McClean worked for former US Attorney Preet Bharara.

McLean came under fire last week after a report emerged in the Wall Street Journal that she pressured her to change her story to "clarify" her story to claim that she "didn't remember" a party at which Ford claims Kavanaugh groped her, as opposed to claiming that the party never happened.

Bolstering Cotton's assertion that Ford's claim was professionally curated for political ammunition is a leaked recording from July in which Democratic operative and PR guru Ricki Seidman - an adviser to Ford - can be heard discussing how Ford's accusation can be used to harm conservatives whether or not it's successful at dislodging Kavanaugh from his nomination.

Cotton closes by suggesting that there will be a "consequence" at the polls for Democrats who have promised to try and impeach Kavanaugh.

HUGH HEWITT, RADIO HOST: Is there any doubt in your mind, Senator Cotton, that this was planned long before it was unveiled? And by that, I mean the leak of Dr. Ford’s letter, I don’t know who did it, but I believe it was part of a campaign that was set up to occur exactly when it did. Do you agree with me?

SEN. TOM COTTON (R-ARKANSAS): Hugh, I believe the Schumer political operation was behind this from the very beginning. We learned last week that a woman named Monica McLean was Ms. Ford’s roommate, and she was one of the so-called beach friends who encouraged Ms. Ford to go to Dianne Feinstein and the partisan Democrats on the Judiciary Committee. Well, it just turns out, it just so happens that Monica McLean worked for a Preet Bharara, the former U.S. Attorney in Manhattan, now a virulent anti-Trump critic on television and former counsel to Chuck Schumer. So I strongly suspect that Chuck Schumer’s political operation knew about Ms. Ford’s allegations as far back as July and manipulated the process all along to include taking advantage of Ms. Ford’s confidences and directing her towards left-wing lawyers who apparently may have violated the D.C. code of legal ethics and perhaps may face their own investigation by the D.C. Bar.

HH: Now when we have a summing up of the consequences of this in four weeks at the polls, I don’t believe Americans are going to forget. I think they’re going to vote to make sure Mitch McConnell remains the leader in the Senate, and Kevin McCarthy the new speaker in the House. Do you agree with me that this lasts, that this left a mark on American politics?

TC: Yes, Hugh, I think most Americans, Republicans, but as well as independents and some sensible Democrats in places like Arkansas are appalled by the left wing mobs that Chuck Schumer and the Senate Democrats whipped up over the last three weeks. I traveled to New Jersey last week, Hugh, to campaign for my good friend, Jay Webber, a Republican nominee for Congress in Northern New Jersey, in a seat Rodney Frelinghuysen is retiring from. The single biggest applause line of the night was for Brett Kavanaugh and for standing up to the House Democrats who are already threatening to investigate and impeach not only Donald Trump, but Brett Kavanaugh as well. So what the Senate Democrats have awoken across the country in Senate races, now the House Democrats are bringing into their own races by threatening to investigate and impeach a fine man and someone who will be a stellar justice, and I think there’s going to be a consequence for those Democrats in four weeks from today in the polls. But remember, Hugh, voting has already started in a lot of places, and our people are starting to go out and vote to show their revulsion at the left wing mob tactics.
