Anyone know the meaning of 4:44?

Someone I know has been seeing this number everywhere, daily. Several times he looked at his phone clock, and it immediately changed to 4:45 (so he looked at exactly 4:44:59). Seems interesting to me, Jay Z named an album after 4:44, wondering if anons have any knowledge on this.
