How Leslie was preventing other hurricanes while it sat in the middle of the Atlantic for nearly 2 weeks yet once it moved away Invest 91/Michael quickly formed off the coast of the Yucatan peninsula. Expect more potential from this area.
Leslie has been out there for 20 days now with most projections predicting it will now either make a Spanish landfall or head south with the good chance that it will also hold formation and strengthen off the coast of Africa where historically many Hurricanes form before heading west.
