And this?
The Worst-Run States Have This ONE Thing In Common
Four of the five worst-run states all have one thing in common – and it’s exactly what you think it is.
That’s right, states with the worst fiscal condition – according to the Mercatus Center at George Mason University – are almost universally run by Democrats. The worst-run states are, in order starting from the bottom: Illinois, Connecticut, New Jersey, Massachusetts, and Kentucky. The five best-run states are, in order: Nebraska, South Dakota, Tennessee, Florida, and Oklahoma.
Mercatus used official annual financial reports from state governments, as well as reports from state actuaries to measure each state on cash and budge solvency, long-term spending commitments, taxes and spending, debt, and pension liabilities.
The most recent data available comes from 2016, and Mercatus said this would be the last year for the rankings. But this is no one-time thing. Mercatus has been ranking states for years, and nine of the 10 consistently worst-ranked states are Blue States (Illinois, California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Connecticut, Hawaii, New Mexico, New York and Rhode Island, with Kentucky being the lone Red State in the group). Conversely, nine of the 10 consistently best-ranked states were all Red States (South Dakota, Tennessee, Nebraska, Florida, Utah, Alaska, Oklahoma, Wyoming, and Montana, with New Hampshire as the lone Blue State in the group).
Investor’s Business Daily says the worst-ranked states are where they are on the list due to “years of overspending and overpromising, mostly to unionized government workers by pliant Democratic leaders.”

Activists File Title IX Complaint Against Georgetown Professor Christine Fair over Her Call for Senator’s Deaths, Castration
An activist group has filed a Title IX complaint against Georgetown University Professor Christine Fair, who came under fire earlier this month for calling for the deaths and castration of several GOP senators.
“Look at [this] chorus of entitled white men justifying a serial rapist’s arrogated entitlement,” Fair wrote in the tweet on September 29. “All of them deserve miserable deaths while feminists laugh as they take their last gasps. Bonus: we castrate their corpses and feed them to swine? Yes.”
Since then, Fair’s Twitter account has been briefly suspended and reactivated. Now, the National Coalition for Men has filed a Title IX complaint against Fair. “The National Coalition for Men condemns in the strongest terms possible the violent and ugly behavior of Christine Fair, a Georgetown professor who has openly called for violence and terrorism against men as a class (and several specific men),” the group wrote in their complaint before providing the text of the since-deleted tweet.
The National Coalition for Men had previously filed a Title IX complaint against Northeastern University Professor Suzanne Danuta Walters, who published a column in the Washington Post entitled “Why Can’t We Hate Men?”
So men, if you really are #WithUs and would like us to not hate you for all the millennia of woe you have produced and benefited from, start with this: Lean out so we can actually just stand up without being beaten down. Pledge to vote for feminist women only. Don’t run for office. Don’t be in charge of anything. Step away from the power. We got this. And please know that your crocodile tears won’t be wiped away by us anymore. We have every right to hate you. You have done us wrong. #BecausePatriarchy. It is long past time to play hard for Team Feminism. And win.
In a statement, a representative from the National Coalition of Men argued that Walters was unfit to teach students. “Suzanne Walters is the Chair of their Women Studies program, not some random schmuck,” the representative said at the time. “Her openly hateful behavior is reprehensible, disgusting, and irresponsible. She should not be allowed to promote her misandry in an educational institution with impressionable minds.”
The complaint against Fair is only a portion of a much larger complaint against Georgetown University. The complaint points out that men are a minority in the student body at the university. The complaint alleges that Georgetown utilizes a discriminatory hiring practice that includes preferences for female candidates.
