Then I heard the house phone ring…again and again.

I wondered why nobody was answering?

At 11 o'clock GMT, I went into my flat mates room to check on her.

I've been sharing a flat in Madrid with her for nearly 8 years…she's like my surogate mum.

She was sat in her chair, I thought she was asleep.

She wasn't…she had passed away sometime during the night.
