When Rick Lazio ran against Hillary Clinton for US Senate seat from New York in 2000 for the Moynihan seat, he lost (obviously). In 2010, Rick wanted to run for Governor of New York. There was a nasty battle on the floor of the NYS Republican Convention at the Sheraton New York.
Ed Cox was backing Steve Levy, a Democrat from Long Island. Why? Why would Cox back a Democrat instead of Rick Lazio.
BTW… I was at the Trump inauguration, and I ran into Rick Lazio.

In 2010, she ran against Wendy Long (clerked for Clarence Thomas) - Wendy is very good friends with Dinesh D'Souza… very… in fact, it was Dinesh's contribution to Wendy's campaign that got him in trouble. The current candidate is Chele Farley (pronounced Shell). Former Senator Alfonse D'Amato is also a supporter of Gillibrand. The swampiest candidate this year NY Statewide is Keith Wooford for Attorney General.
