Those are probably nominal amounts in the US as the FDA doesn't allow high iodine foods to be sold here.

 

The US RDA is 150mcg or 250mcg if pregnant. The Japanese eat on average 13mg (13,000mcg) or ~80 times the US.

 

Check your labels. If you took one drop of the attached, you would have 10 days of the US's RDA, where as the Japanese naturally ingest about eight drops each day.

 

That's a hell of alot of Iodine
