Consider how the current system works.

The treasury needs a bond in order to spend beyond tax receipts. The treasury issues a bond, which is sold on the "open market" - but the federal reserve has a special leniency involved. Because the federal reserve buys treasury bonds, it can defer payment to the treasury until the bond matures. In other words, the treasury bond is considered to be the asset used to back the sale in the first place. But the interest on the bond goes to the owners of the federal reserve.

If that isn't fun enough, then we get into how all currency in our system springs into circulation. Those bonds are spent on government contracts or to government employees. All other currency is effectively recycling this initial purchase by the government. While there are other assets on the market, their relative value is determined by the supply of and demand for treasury notes.

As goods and services are taxed, the currency initially placed into circulation is siphoned out of circulation. This places the purchasing power of the current system into the hands of two major parties. The government/politicians and the companies and/or banks chosen to be the benefactors of these contracts.

We are already a fascist economy. We simply haven't implemented the blatant legal framework declaring it so.

There is a third player that arises as a consequence of this being done in a human system. The people who run the contractors and who manage to own assets of monetary worth in this system forever hold an advantage. Those who hold assets only need to transiently use currency. They sell a business, commodity, etc and convert it to the cash necessary for the transaction, and their wealth stays within assets. This "asset class" is kept above the continual inflation of the currency.

The proverbial working class, however, works for this currency. They face an ever depreciating value with ever increasing costs of living. Minimum wages are implemented only to further increase costs. People become renters and debtors, forever living paycheck to paycheck with the political caste buying votes/support by directing "relief" in one direction or another.

The current system is designed to be a prison. It is designed to destroy the concept of general property ownership, to divest the people from their heritage/culture, and to bankrupt them both literally and figuratively. It is evil in every sense of the word.
