the question I have is which eye is the "normal" one? :-) and though the VERY odd one seems to the the right, the fact there is any issue is curious past coincidence. what was supposed to be communicated by this? you see the quill rather than a whip in Gladstone's (the jockey) hand? That is clearly understood - but what's with the eye…?
You know I wonder if Disraeli and Gladstone were controlled opposition one to the other? Probably, right?
