If the price of US corn rises from internal use in ethanol production our exports become MORE EXPENSIVE. The Chinese ethanol market is probably a government clusterfuck nightmare of wasted money and inefficiency. right?

This will pull money from them as punishment and will reward US corn farmers. Our fuel prices will rise a few pennies perhaps but no one will notice. This will be offset by the billions of new dollars flowing into the US straight from China's coffers as they have to buy artificially inflated corn and pay to ship it across the pacific to make a shitty fuel that is net-energy negative anyway.

To get out of it China has to either produce corn internally... (They don't have the water and have degraded their environment far to much.) Or they have to import from somewhere else. This is a world commodity though the price will more or less be the same everywhere.
