Children and especially adolescents are the unwitting targets of advertising.

For proof, watch Disney or Nickolodeon channels for 15 or 30 minutes. Pretend you're taking someone's pulse.

Determine the number of minutes of commercials. Multiply that to determine ads per hour.

Now, you can figure out how many commercials kids are blanket with.

If I ever have grandchildren, the TV will be 100% off limits to them. It's too easy to locate classic cartoons or educational videos for them to watch that are ad-free.

Adults have enough reasoning power to identify and snicker at commercials, but kids don't.
