My oldest son is 1/16 Cherokee. I can trace his heritage through his grandmother who was born on the rez, in a TP, in Oklahoma…… he can "join" the tribe and get his card anytime, but he does't want to. Why??? Because he is an American. He doesn't give a rip about anything else.
