First we have the fact that is it's a wapo journalist. Second, it was in Turkey and presumably happens in a Saudi embassy. Why was he going to the embassy in the first place? Coincidentally we have the release of the pastor after 2 years of house arrest and Trump going on a rant that Saudi would not survive without US help.

If this were a midterm distraction it's not going to be very effective since most Americans are self absorbed anyway. If this is Saudi going off script it begs the question why now?

We also have to look at if this wapo guy was c_a and part of the crew that handles Turkey. Was this liquidation a gift to Turkey and help free them from c_a control POTUS did get the pastor back. I'm starting to hear the "Mission Impossible" music playing in my head now.
