Go to the earliest sources. The OT was translated from protosemitic languages without vowels and much guessing was necessary to translate it into Hebrew. Ask the Vatican…they had a project to translate the oldest protosemitic OT stories and realized the problem…then covered up the fact and fired anyone who mentioned it. The Masorites of the 12 old Hebrew groups vying for the job, got it. That's why the Hebrew has a Masoretic flavor.

Go to the Sumerian cuneiform creation accounts. Much more matter-of-fact and conveniently in stone…you'll see right away where it was adapted into the OT. heavily revised to fit a certain tone.

The NT is a lot more authoritative as it was documented independently by eyewitnesses within the lifetimes of other witnessing authorities, who could call it out if wrong.

So, Gospel is Gospel.

The OT is a good collection of moral stories and general arcs of regional history, but be careful with the dot-and-tittle crowd. A huge chunk of the better known stories were ancient even then…after a few problematic translations…well, it is what it is.

The forbidden fruit and Garden of Eden story can be traced back to Sumer and if you go back that far, you'll find that the primary pro and antagonists (God and the Devil) were actually the two highest ranking Anunnaki gods (Enlil and Enki) in a dispute about genetically upgrading the 'primitive workers'…us, the humans…from neanderthals to Homo Sapiens. Enki (the devil) chose to use his own DNA to upgrade the workers and in doing so, they (we) also became supernatural (created in our image). This did not make Enlil happy and the workers were thrown out of the E-din in Mesopotamia. Rich, complicated, and makes total sense the more you delve into it. In fact the whole world's history begins to make sense when you study the Anunnaki legends.

We are genetically modified (a few times) primitive workers for the Anunnaki gold mining operations that were underway on Earth in antiquity. Our stories come from them. Clever huh? Breed your workers on site and tell them gold is money…they'll dig it up incessantly and you come around and take it from time to time. The more you know. Aren't we special? Gold mining war monkeys. With a fortunate twist…we have a spirit now…and will truly ascend as children, not as mere beasts of burden.

I'm still a Christian, just one with a MUCH richer appreciation for back story. Good luck. The truth is not heresy except to the darkness.

Yeah, I thought we'd get a juicy drop at 17:17 on the 17th… the Joe M video makes up for it. He's a team, no way his stuff is that slick out of a solo shop.

Matthew 13

The Parable of the Sower

1That same day Jesus went out of the house and sat by the lake. 2Such large crowds gathered around him that he got into a boat and sat in it, while all the people stood on the shore. 3Then he told them many things in parables, saying: “A farmer went out to sow his seed. 4As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up. 5Some fell on rocky places, where it did not have much soil. It sprang up quickly, because the soil was shallow. 6But when the sun came up, the plants were scorched, and they withered because they had no root. 7Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up and choked the plants. 8Still other seed fell on good soil, where it produced a crop—a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown. 9Whoever has ears, let them hear.”
