Yup, here's one (who left for years already and never intends to go back).
Long ago β¦ during the "WW2 was our fault"-brainwashing, essentially. But Germans have never actually been the "fighting" people, and always worshipped their "Kaiser/Kanzler/Fuhrer" (emperor/chancellor).
But the post-WW2 brainwashing made it even worse. East-Germans are a bit different though, as they had the balls to bring down the GDR (w/o violence) solely through expressing their unwillingness to go on β¦. and they know that the collapse of a "state" is not the end of the world.
I should hve said "protesting" people β like in the french, who fucking drive tractors in front of the parliament & throw manure at the stairs β¦.
It is true though, nonetheless, and like someone once said (and I'm paraphrasing): "The germans will sit on their hands, remarkably long, but beware of the moment they'll rise up, because then they'll do things with organized accuracy".
Betcha one adult beverage that "we" (i.e. POTUS & Q) are very much pissed at the arabs making that move just so short before the elcetions in putting us in that kinda pickle.
Not getting my panties wet over this βjust thinking that the timing is very much undesired.
If it indeed was a Al-Waleed/DS job, then that means MBS/King Salman doesn't have his minions under control. Still enough reason (and justification) for POTUS to honestly demand discovery & consequences for what might have happened.
>What makes you think this specific interrogation was civil with attorney present?
Nothing. But in light of the possibility of Turkey (our "ally"!!) having a recording, and in light of the allegations it is time for Saudis to come clear (show proof of Khashoggi is still alive), or POTUS to demand consequences from King Salman/MBS for these actions of these "rogue" elements.
The MSM abusing the "rumors" so short before the elections, and POTUS solely arguing with economic arguments (i.e. weapons deals) is certainly not very sustainable β there's better ways to deal with the situation, is all I'm saying.
There is a certain "duty" for the Saudis to deliver proof: After all, this is an embassy so there's cameras everywhere (not only outside/turkish) β but also inside/on the premises/entries.
Now the turkish inspector had a look at the building, and some rooms were painted freshly β¦.
Not interpreting what it means, but this is (as it is) not very sustainable β¦..
