Karen Attiah, the Global Opinions editor for the Washinton Post, wrote that she received this column from Jamal Khashoggi’s translator and assistant the day after Jamal was reported missing in Istanbul.
Like so many other red flags about Khashoggi's disappearance, how do we know that he actually wrote this or whether or not it was modified? It sounds genuine and admirable in the sense that advocates press freedom in the Arabic world where historically there has been oppressive censorship and theocratic control over public opinion. Khashoggi’s wrote, "The Arab world was ripe with hope during the spring of 2011. Journalists, academics and the general population were brimming with expectations of a bright and free Arab society within their respective countries."
However, he fails to acknowledge that the "Arabic spring" was not really a grass roots movement for true freedom, but rather a globalist top down controlled operation to install the Muslim Brotherhood (theocratic fascism) into positions of power throughout Egypt.
For example, in this video below a 12 year old Egyptian boy stunningly and incredibly exposes the Muslim Brotherhood and their attempted power grab for Egypt. The original interview was recorded by the Egyptian newspaper El Wady, in Cairo, on Oct 19, 2012.
