Q, when you say these people are sick, I have taken that to mean a more ominous tone. Not a sick like a cold or flu, but sick for their nature as a being. Literally using people as cattle and slaves.
A couple examples that are tame. Being disclosed the who in filming snuff films with children being snuffed. Maybe the children who are taken and kept as slaves to beg for life as they get arms cut off.

The implications on how that effects the psyche are huge. Generally, one is developing in greater ways from 13 to 30 and around 30 one is set in more in their ways.
