I need the insurance.aes256 file that was included with wikileaks Afghan War Diary publication. I cannot find it anywhere on the net.

All i have is a snippet. Using the list of words in the pic related seemingly creates a chain of successful decryptions on the snippet.

Start by decrypting using "ONION" which was dictionary attacked back in 2010. That was as far as anons got! We all believed ONION meant that this file was encrypted like an onion. Only a series of correct decryptions would work.

If you try "ONION" on the snippet of the original file it creates a snippet file that's been decrypted once. On that file if you try "exceed" it again is a successful decryption of the snippet. With each step ALL other words tried fail however the words on pic related create a new snippet thats been decrypted.

WE NEED TO FIND THE insurance.aes256 file originally at this link: http://leakmirror.wikileaks.org/file/straw-glass-and-bottle/insurance.aes256

Wrong file.

"insurance.aes256" was the file name.

openssl enc -d -aes-256-cbc -in insurance.aes256.5120 -out insurance_onion -k "ONION"

Then on the resulting file (insurance_onion) use the -k "exceed"

and so on.
