Was Khashoggi aware of if not actually brokering a skim operation on arms sales to Saudi Arabia? MbS and the cabal were partners and using Khashoggi to shake down MbS for a bigger cut. MbS was extorted with exposure by Khashoggi as corrupt, and would be deposed. Trump is aware the cabal has been skimming from the arms deals, and is effectively negotiating away the cabal’s control over arms sales to the Saudi’s. Now he is meeting today with Defense Contract CEO’s. Trump’s goal is to dry up the skim going to the cabal and keep selling arms to the Saudi’s to be a stabilizing force in the Middle East. He will get whatever evidence he needs from the CEO’s, (watch for more resignations). MbS is probably a goner as Crown Prince, even though King Salman has to decide if he is allowed to save face. That’s a decision that has the most impact in the US/Saudi relationship. If Trump views the King as weak, it means he may suspect the King is at least complicit in what happened to Khashoggi, and not a reliable partner in stopping the cabal.
