Anons- I have an honest question… we've all seen all these polls coming out left and right about the midterms and their projections for all kinds of different races, but where the hell are these polls conducted??

I am an active member of society, spend a good chunk of time online, and socialize with all kinds of different people offline, yet I have NEVER been asked to take a poll or even seen a poll in my usual online pursuits.

So where the hell are they getting these poll numbers? Who is taking them? And if they are mostly from sites like Facebook then that clearly demonstrates a huge bias towards people that are on Facebook (obviously). And I would bet conservatives have a significantly smaller social media presence than liberals do, so the numbers are inherently skewed towards the left.

Hence why so many were shocked when POTUS one the election.. they had no idea how unrepresentative their polls were.

So my question is- have any of you actually come across a political poll or been asked to participate in one? Or is it only for those that actually search for them and actively try to find polls to take??
