I watched that one episode, and immediately disliked it. The whole story revolves around these "slaves" who work endlessly for a pittance. The girl goes onstage to win a singing contest (think American Idol type show). The black guy in the photo is enamored of her. She wins and moves on to bigger and better things (on the front), so he decides to do the same thing. They each have to pay an exorbitant amount of "coin" (cryptocurrency) to compete. Every day, he watches her on tv become a big star. He tries out, and wins. Only, he doesn't win his freedom. He wins his own "little bit bigger" room, but not has to continue his charade to the slaves he once worked alongside.
Evil fucking movie. This was our future.
