I think the most interesting point is that you don't need a majority of the population to change society.
There's a tipping point at about 10-12%.
“When the number of committed opinion holders is below 10 percent, there is no visible progress in the spread of ideas. It would literally take the amount of time comparable to the age of the universe for this size group to reach the majority,” said SCNARC Director Boleslaw Szymanski, the Claire and Roland Schmitt Distinguished Professor at Rensselaer. “Once that number grows above 10 percent, the idea spreads like flame.”
Nassim Taleb writes about this in "Skin in the Game" where he argues that fundamental islam will take over for this very same reason. Or other concepts like transexuals in bathrooms. The squeeky wheels get the oil.
This should be seen as encouraging by those that believe in our narrative. We don't need to convert everyone.
It looks like we're in a battle for the ten percent.
