circa 7040 Khz is in the middle of the 40 meter ham band and it's in the part of the band normally used for CW morse code

I have also heard a beat tone that sounds like two closely spaced carriers near 7040 khz. it's always there or almost always. No idea if it's local to my neighborhood or RFI in my house wiring or DX.
